Refurbishment of an apartment in El Born. | The owners wanted an open apartment where spaces have a better interaction with each other. They suggested an updated design that fits their needs while maintaining consistency with its surroundings. Due to the contained dimensions of the apartment, it is a priority to dump the uses to the exterior to emphasize the light, the nature and the views to the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona. The space has been diaphanous and a white cube has been constructed to distribute spaces. The circulations are easier avoiding the use of doors and giving privacy by the distribution itself. Translucent sliding doors remind Japanese shojis which let the light flow and gives more privacy when needed.
